Norris Andersen partners with Husky Liners® for Speed Week 2012 Winfield, KS - August 21, 2012 - With a top speed of 221.835 mph, Norris Andersen's truck wasn't always that fast. In 2004, he rescued the 1949 Studebaker from a salvage yard and brought it home to be reconfigured as a race truck. Norris now runs two big-block Chevy engines - one at 820 hp and the other at 1,275 hp. The Studebaker has won several speed and performance records, including 2009 World Record holder in the A/Modified Pickup class at 191.996 mph, and 2010 World Record holder in the AA/MP class at 219.331 mph.

Husky Liners®-sponsored driver wins Class CC/SA at NHRA Big O Tires Nationals

Las Vegas, NV (October 26, 2012) - A new champion was crowned at the NHRA Big O Tires Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the Husky Liners® sponsored COPO Camaro won class CC/SA. The COPO Camaro was Chevrolet's high performance special-order system that was adopted by dealers to build high performance models in the 1960s. Now it's being used for races and Chevrolet has made 69 COPO Camaros available for purchase. The vehicle was driven by Todd Patterson from Augusta, Kansas, coming from the Patterson Racing team. The race was held at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and also celebrated National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by "going pink."
