Even though the weather outside is getting frightful that doesn't mean people are packing up and heading south for the winter. We're not geese.
As a matter of fact, anyone who likes to hunt, fish or bird watch, the cold winter months means outdoor time is heating up. Hunting and fishing seasons are set to kick off and bird watching, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, is the fastest-growing outdoor activity in the United States with 51.3 million Americans admitting to watching birds.
With these rugged outdoor activities about to be in full swing, car owners are encouraged to outfit their vehicles with cargo floor mats and mud flaps, to keep them looking fresh from the adverse winter weather conditions.
"Today's cars and trucks are overall more reliable than ever before," Dan Woods, host and producer of Speed's Chop Cut Rebuild series, told the Journal Sentinel. "Still, certain systems in all vehicles are more susceptible to cold, snow and ice. It's important to prepare those systems to handle colder weather."
