Nissan sold its 4 millionth AltimaWednesday, December 26, 2012

Category:Car Enthusiast Talk

Nissan recently announced that it has sold 4 million Altimas after 20 years of manufacturing the vehicle.

It's no wonder Nissan marks this milestone in 2012, as the automaker sold 284,762 units of the car this year, breaking the Altima's 2007 all-time sales record. Nissan was proud to add that 25 percent of 2013 Altima buyers traded in a Toyota or Honda.

With pent-up demand continuing in the automotive industry, Nissan is expecting Altima sales to continue to be strong in the coming year. Those who purchased one of these 4 million vehicles should consider extending the life and resale value of the car by installing HuskyLiners® custom fit floor mats. These mats will fit into any car and keep stains on the liner and off a car's carpet.

Subaru also announced its own milestone recently, which places the automaker among the top in terms of safety. For the fourth year in a row, all Subaru models have been named Top Safety Picks by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

"For four consecutive years, Subaru is the only automotive manufacturer with the distinction of earning IIHS Top Safety Pick awards for every model it builds," said Adrian Lund, president of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. "Subaru deserves praise for making safety a top priority."
