To the Editor of the New York Times:
After 33 years of stupid pet tricks and Late-Night fun, David Letterman has officially retired. To me, it feels a little bit like a friend is moving to a distant town. In my case David Letterman was my friend. From my youth it was my dream to perform on Stupid Pet Tricks. When that day finally came I performed a variation of a move I called the “Razor’s Edge” where I drug my rear in a circle while scratching my neck and howling the Mission Impossible song. I think David absolutely loved it! After the show Dave introduced me to my handler Chelsea O’Dell and the rest is history. Thank you David Letterman for giving me my start and believing in me when nobody else would.
All the best,
