To the Editor of the New York Times,
I cannot wait to have my assistant Tom read me ‘Dead Wake’, the latest Historical fiction from Erik Larson on the sinking of the Lusitania. I thought your 3/9 write-up was excellent, although I was surprised that no one had reached out to me to get my comments. As I often mention to my fans, I had a distant great uncle who was on the Lusitania when it sank and consider myself an expert in early WW1 history because of that. My uncle Renaldo had saved a young woman who ended up being an assistant to Churchill. I think you can connect the dots there. I’m sure you’ll be wanting my thoughts on the book which Tom will be reading to me as soon as he gets back from the dry cleaners.
All the best,
