Motor Trend recently named the 2013 Ram 1500 as the magazine's 2013 Truck of the Year.
The all-new 2013 Ram 1500 received the recognition based on its air suspension, choice of engines, variety of trim levels and towing capability. This bodes particularly well for Ram because they anticipate truck demand to increase. Any current or potential truck owners should try out Husky Liners® custom fit floor mats for their trucks. Once you try them you'll never go back.
"We had a small but solid field of contenders for Motor Trend's Truck of the Year," said Edward Loh, editor-in-chief of Motor Trend. "But in the end, the choice was clear: Ram 1500 not only withstood our rigorous testing, it impressed at every step along the way. Our judges were won over by the performance of Ram 1500's broad array of standard and optional equipment. It's a truck that can be tailored to meet most anyone's needs. For these reasons and more, we're excited to name the Ram 1500 the Motor Trend 2013 Truck of the Year."
The criteria for Motor Trend Truck of the Year was based on design advancement, engineering excellence, efficiency, safety, value and performance of intended function.
Ram recently created a new commercial division that teams up with BusinessLink dealers to focus on development, sales and support of the growing truck market.
"Ram Truck is committed to delivering the best value proposition with low total cost of ownership across the entire product line up," said Fred Diaz, president and CEO of Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler de Mexico - Chrysler Group. "From the Ram 5500 Chassis Cab to the Ram C/V, we're providing best-in-class capability and technology. We've not only taken steps to expand and improve our product offerings but created and built upon customer service solutions, following through with BusinessLink and On the Job programs for customers who use their truck as a critical tool for business."
The Ram is sure to be the top seller with truck demand up and considering it has the title of best-in-class fuel economy of 25 miles per gallon for the half-ton segment with a number of exclusive technologies, a new V-6 engine, eight-speed transmission, stop-start system, in addition to the accolades that won it Truck of the Year.
